The library might not always be able to meet your information needs with material held locally, but it has access to books from a multitude of libraries!  First, through the Evergreen Indiana system, and also through the interlibrary loan service of the Indiana State Library.

Most library users will be able to borrow items through the Evergreen system and may place holds themselves or with staff assistance.

Reciprocal cardholders who may not place holds on items from other Evergreen libraries may make interlibrary loan requests through staff.

If material cannot be borrowed from an Evergreen library, our staff can submit your request through the interlibrary loan service and items will be delivered to JCPL for patrons to check out.  The service is free if materials can be borrowed from another Indiana library.  If material must come from outside Indiana, there may be a fee.

Contact the library or visit the circulation desk.  Have as much specific information as possible about the particular book, magazine article, or subject you are seeking.
