Felting Fun for Kids

June 5 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Come learn a new hobby and skill at the library! Kids in grades 3-6 are invited to join us on Friday, June 5 at 1:30-3:30 p.m. for a creative class where we will be learning how to wet felt beads and needle felt fun shapes. Wet felting is an art form that uses hot water, soap, and friction to make solid wool shapes. Needle felting uses barbed needles to create unique 3D shapes. Your project can be exhibited at the Jay County Fair if you are signed up for the 4-H arts and crafts project. This program will be taught by Janel Franks and is offered in partnership with Purdue Extension Blackford County, Purdue Extension Jay County, and the Jay County Farm Bureau, Inc. Space is limited and registration is required. Call or visit the library to sign up today!
