February is traditionally Love Your Library month. For the second year in a row, we have decided to turn that theme around and show our love for our patrons and community. We hope that you can join us for the events we have going on at the library this month.
First, we will be offering a free service each week of the month. Free faxing will be offered the first week of February. Printing from our public computers will be free the next week and copying on our public copier will be offered the third week. The final week of February will be fine-free for our patrons!
We are also going to introduce some new services and re-introduce a few old ones. For example, JCPL will begin offering laminating and notary services for the public. Watch closely for more information on when those services will become available.
Are you not finding a certain book, movie, magazine or any other type of item? Let us know what you want by asking for our new request form! We want to make sure we have the items you want here at the library. Our request to purchase will also be on our website, allowing you to make your request from the comfort of your home.
Keep an eye out for a patron survey this month. We have questions and want your input! Ask for this survey in the building. The first 100 adults to fill out a survey at the library will receive a USB flash drive!
We also want to have a little bit of fun this month with some games and contests! Two jars filled with M&M’s and Hershey’s Kisses will be located at the front desk – the person with the guess closest to the number of items in the jar wins the jar and all that is in it! And, keep an eye on our Facebook page for a special “What you love most about Jay County” contest!
