During the month of April, which also is home to Earth Day, the Friends of the Jay County Public Library will be partnering with a non-profit sneaker recycling organization to raise funds for the library and to help people who need tennis shoes. If you choose to donate your sneakers to the Friends, you will be entered into a raffle for a $50 gift card to Fisher Meats! S-Sneakers (Donate your gently worn, used, or new sneakers to the Friends by bringing them to the front desk at JCPL. Donations will be accepted in any condition and any size. If any pairs cannot be donated to people in need, they will be recycled.)

O-Opportunity (This is a great opportunity to help people in need and to do some recycling)

L-Library (This partnership fundraiser will allow the Friends to receive some funding to help support more library programs. Plus, you get to visit the library when donating!)

E-Environment (The sneaker recycling program helps keep sneakers out of landfills, which has harmful effects on our environment.)
