An event every month that begins at 3:00 pm on day First of the month, repeating until December 6, 2023
Purdue Extension 4-H & JCPL are hosting an interactive STEM Studio at the library on the first Wednesday of each month, starting October 5. The event is free, will be held in the Community Room from 3:00-4:30 pm, and space is limited to the first 20 youth in grades 3-6. Students will learn about science, technology, engineering, art, and math through a hands-on process of making. We will be using Dash and Dot Robot, block coding with micro:bit, 3D printing with the MakerBot 3D printer and MYNT3D 3D pens, and engineering a model Mars Rover with the National 4-H STEM Challenge. There will also be unplugged activities to teach pattern recognition, algorithms, and other computational thinking processes.
*Be aware we will be using 3d printer, 3d pens, robots, computers and other valuable equipment. Appropriate conduct is a must! Your child can be dismissed from the program if failure to follow rules occurs!
*It is recommended students bring a chrome book / other personal device.
