Healthy Holidays
November 15, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Are you stressed about your family’s meal plan for the Holidays? Are you, or one of your family members or friends, a diabetic? Not sure how to make holiday food diabetic-friendly? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then this is a program that you will NOT want to miss! Join us as Amanda Bullion from the Purdue Extension Office teaches us about how to be conscious about what goes into our holiday food and how we can make diabetic-friendly choices during the time of the year where we are surrounded by food and baked goods. This program will be offered BOTH in-person and virtually on Zoom. If you attend the in-person class, a diabetic friendly snack will be provided as an example of all of the delicious treats you can make that are healthy. Want to attend virtually but not sure how to use Zoom? Call the library and ask for our Adult Service Librarian Hannah and she will help you get started and trained on how to use Zoom.
*Please sign-up for this event, either in-person at the library or online to ensure you either get counted for the snack or to receive the Zoom link via email to attend virtually.
