Hair-Raising Science with Wonderlab
June 17 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
What does lightning have to do with your socks? Static electricity! Come to the library on Monday, June 17 to learn how electricity is generated and how it impacts our lives from making your socks stick to your sweater—to creating a bolt of lightning! You’ll get to see electrifying experiments performed with Wonderlab’s Van de Graaf Generator. Demonstrations will include mini bolts of lightning, floating packing peanuts, and someone’s hair will get an “Extreme Van de Graaf Makeover”! Come to this family event and spark your interest in science! Registration is required, so call or visit the library to sign up for either the 1:30 p.m. or the 3:30 p.m. show!
