Wanted: book lovers and bakers! Whether you are a professional baker or an amateur, enter to compete in our Edible Book Cake Contest on Monday, July 18 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m! Based off of the International Edible Book Contest, we will be hosting our first ever edible book competition. It’s simple: choose a book that you like or love, and then create an edible book to imitate the book you chose! It can be a replica of the book cover or can be a representation of the book’s theme. The base of your book needs to be a cake of your choosing, and then you can decorate it with candies, toppings, and more, it’s your choosing! You can enter to compete into three different categories: children’s, young adult, or adult! The judges will give awards based on the popular vote, best of each category, and then best tasting! Interested in attending but don’t want to enter the competition? You can attend the event and take part in voting for your favorites, and also get to taste test the cakes! Stick around for the awards ceremony to see who wins! You may also enter the contest solo, or families can make a cake together to enter to win. Registration is required and attendance is mandatory if you are competing.
