Jay County Public Library will be accepting submissions of original poetry from April 1st – April 20th, by Jay County residents.
The rules for the contest are pretty simple. The poem must be from Jay County, your poem must be all original content and be able to be read in 3 minutes or less. It is also requested that you attend the Poetry Reading on Monday, April 26th, at 6:30pm, and read your poem. Judging is not held on the actual reading of the poem and, if you need to, you can request to have someone else read your poem that night.
Submissions can be sent to the email: jaylibrary315@gmail.com or brought directly to the library. Please include your name and what age category you qualify for. (12 and under, 13-17, Adult) Also include contact information either email or phone number.
The Friends of the Jay County Public Library are donating $50 prizes in each category.
