Computers

For general use and Internet Access
The adult area has nine computers for Internet access and other basic programs. Two of these are designated as Express computers for quick checks of information or email.

Those with a signed Internet usage agreement on file may log on directly at an available machine using their library card number and password. Visitors may request a guest pass at the circulation desk.

The fee for printing is 15¢ per sheet payable at the circulation desk.   Except for the most basic technical support, staff do not assist users of this equipment.  If you are interested in more help, ask at the circulation desk about scheduling a 30-minute one-on-one basic computer use session with a staff member.

For children and families
A gallery in the children’s area offers five computers with software for primarily educational games.   There are also three Early Literacy Stations for preschoolers and their parents in the Children’s area.

For genealogy and local history research
Two computers with limited Internet access are located in the Indiana Room for genealogy research and access to the local obituary index.  An additional computer is connected to a microfilm scanner.

Additional computer terminals around the building offer OPAC service (online public access catalog of the library’s collection).

Internet Access

Wireless Internet access is available throughout the building for use with your own device.

All Internet users shall comply with the library’s acceptable usage policy.
