The library wont always be able to meet your information needs right on site, but it has access to books from a multitude of libraries.
For reciprocal borrowers who cannot place holds through the Evergreen system, interlibrary loan is the place to begin. For patrons with full borrowing privileges, first check the Evergreen catalog (choose "everywhere" in your search), and place holds on the items they need. If an item is not available from an Evergreen library, then Interlibrary Loan is an option.
With Interlibrary Loan, our staff submit your request and items are delivered to Jay County Public Library at least once a week. Materials available through Indiana libraries are free. Materials that must come from libraries in others states require a higher fee. Fees are payable at pickup. Due dates are determined by the owning libraries.
Call the library at (260) 726-7890 or visit the circulation desk. Have as much specific information as possible about the particular book, magazine article or subject you are seeking.
Many libraries throughout Indiana offer catalogs and other information and services on the Internet.
